Computational Social Science Workshop takes place Saturday 30 January

The Scholarly Commons and I-CHASS (The Institute for Computing in Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences) will host the 2016 Computational Social Science Workshop this Saturday 30 January 2016 at the iHotel. Speakers from around campus will give introductory talks and hands-on workshops about data-driven research in social science, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), network analysis, text analysis, and machine learning topics.  Keynote speakers Ruby Mendenhall and Sally Jackson will share their experiences bringing computational methods into their research.  CIRSS-affiliated speakers include Jana Diesner, Jinseok Kim, Megan Senseney and Elizabeth Wickes.
